Hoje o blog está alemão, e bem clássico. Por isso recomendo vestir o kilt antes de vir cantar o Monday Metal comigo.

Se você se considera um headbanger que manja do assunto só um pouquinho, obrigatoriamente já ouviu falar do Wacken Open Air (vulgo WOA), também conhecido como a Meca do heavy metal. Com sorte, já deve ter ouvido nem que seja na casa dos amigos um tal de Blind Guardian. Se esse for o caso, já não preciso explicar que Hansi Kürsh é o vocalista da banda (há!), e podemos seguir o post normalmente.

Hoje quem entra na roda é o Grave Digger, banda clássica da cena alemã que mistura thrash, speed, power, e heavy metal clássico. Seus temas alternam entre horror, guerra, mitologia e a história européia, e o vocalista Chris Boltendahl tem o cabelo tão style quanto sua voz rasgada. Rebellion foi lançada em 1996 com o álbum Tunes of War, que conta as batalhas que a Escócia travou contra a Inglaterra para conseguir a sua independência, desde o conflito entre clãs no século 11, até os Levantes Jacobitas, no século 18.

Por ser uma música épica vinda de um álbum épico, não fiquei consolada em escolher um link de nível menor do que esse. Vamos então ouvir Rebellion ao vivo no Wacken de 2010, tendo o já citado Hansi como convidado especial, e o Van Canto, que gravou a mesma música no álbum Tribe of Force (2010), como coral e back vocal de luxo do DVD The Clans Are Still Marching do Grave Digger.
