O som dessa semana trás o visual de uma das boas bandas do movimento no Japão. O The Gazette (ガゼット The Gazetto) foi formado em Março de 2002 e o som da banda varia bastante, mas tendo grande foco em New Metal, Heavy Metal, Metal Alternativo e outros.

Inicialmente, contava com Ruki (vocal), Uruha (guitarra), Aoi (guitarra), Reita (baixo) e Yune (bateria). O primeiro single lançado foi Wakaremichi em 30 de abril de 2002 pela gravadora Matina. Em 21 de janeiro de 2003, Yune decide sair da banda. Não demorou muito até acharem outro baterista para a banda. Kai, amigo de Yune, se une ao the GazettE. Um mês depois, eles assinam um contrato com a PS Company. No mesmo ano O Gazette fez turnês e participou de eventos pelo resto do ano, tal como o evento Beauti-Fool's Fest 2003 que contou com a presença de artistas como Merry e D'espairsRay.
