Mesmo que os fãs de heavy metal nem sempre demonstrem o ecletismo ou principalmente, respeito ao outro, felizmente a boa parte maioria dos músicos redime esse detalhe com coisas inusitadas, feito covers.

A prova cabal é o Monday Metal de hoje, com uma banda cujo som não é exatamente inédito, mas que mesmo assim dá pra ouvir e curtir tranquilamente: o ReinXeed. Formada na Suécia em 2004 pelo guitarrista e vocalista Thomas Johansson (tamém conhecido como Tommy ReinXeed), o grupo faz um power metal sinfônico bem influenciado por trilhas de filmes, a exemplo de bandas feito Rhapsody of Fire.

(E que exemplo melhor teria nesse sentido? HAR!)

Já o cover está acima de qualquer suspeita: Viva Forever, do grupo pop Spice Girls, que marcou a vida de milhões de crianças dos anos 90, incluindo a que vos fala. A faixa é parte do álbum "Spiceworld" e fez muito sucesso, ganhou uma bela animação como vídeo oficial, mas antecedeu a saída de uma das vocalistas (Geri Halliwell, ou Ginger Spice).

Com o ReinXeed o hit ganhou uma cara virtuosa, rápida, super agradável de ouvir, e até um pouco divertida quando cai a ficha de que se trata de um grupo de cabeludos suecos cantando uma música das Spice. Vale o play, definitivamente.
