Quebrando o costume que tenho, de na mairia das vezes rola ruma balada para animar a semana após  pequenos híatos, rolar uma música mais populesca. A semana é deles, então nada melhor do que começar com o single que nos revelou a banda.


Velvet Revolver é um supergrupo americano de hard rock formado no Rancho Santa Margarita em 2002 pelos ex-membros do Guns N' Roses, Slash, Duff McKagan e Matt Sorum, juntamente com Dave Kushner, ex-membro da banda de hardcore punk Wasted Youth e Scott Weiland, do Stone Temple Pilots, que ficou no Velvet Revolver até 2008.

Em 2004, a banda conseguiu o sucesso comercial com o seu o álbum de estreia, Contraband. Apesar das críticas positivas, alguns críticos inicialmente descreveram o Velvet Revolver como uma mera combinação do Stone Temple Pilots e do Guns N' Roses, criticando-os pela "desconexão" entre Scott Weiland e o resto da banda. Em 2005, eles ganharam com o single "Slither", um Grammy Award por "Melhor Performance de Hard Rock". A banda lançou Libertad em 2007, impulsionado pelo lançamento do single "She Builds Quick Machines", e embarcou em uma turnê com o Alice in Chains.
